Fringe Hill Design (we, us, our) is a small business making western style leather bags and other products. By using our website you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of our store policy. If you do not agree to our terms and conditions, you may not use our website.

We reserve the right to cancel any suspicious order for any reason. We also reserve the right to refuse working with any customer for any reason we see fit. Once canceled, the refund will be applied to the card used. Lost, misrouted, stolen or damaged items during shipping will not be refunded. This is due to common e-commerce scams and protecting our brand.

Our Product

Our products are designed and copyrighted in Austin, Texas.

We will not ship your bag until it is perfect!  We use high quality un-treated leather and SCRATCHES ARE NORMAL. Every bag is individually made using un-treated genuine full grain leather hides and hair on hide.  Because of this, variations and scratches in the leather grain and color are perfectly imperfect, natural and celebrated. No piece of leather or hair will look exactly the same.

We us UN-DYED HAIR ON HIDES. This means that each bag will vary in color and texture. As many hair on hides in our industry are dyed to create a consistent look, we prefer the natural look of un-dyed hides. Not one bag will look the same or exactly the same from each product picture. That being said, we do our best to keep them similar in color for each style item.

The straps are made with a different TREATED leather. This leather is embossed, painted, engraved and coated with a sealant. These straps were meant to be belts and straps enduring bending and heavy weight. They are coated to protect the paint and embossing. For this reason, they will look slightly stiff and glossy at first, upon time becoming more flexible.

Shipping

All orders are shipped UPS or USPS priority mail and UPS.  It takes at least 24 hours to process and package the order. All orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed on next business day. We are closed holidays. US orders will usually arrive within 3-5 days after processing, however, we can not always guarantee this timeline. Hawaii and Alaska will take longer. Please read Shipping Delays below.  

- HOLIDAY CLOSING -

We are closed most holidays. Since we are a small business, our small staff is off during these times. Orders are still placed but will not be shipped until our office opens back up. Closure dates are made clear on the homepage.

Shipping Mishaps

We can not control the shipping facilities or any mishaps. Shipping delays almost never occur, however, if this does happen, contact the shipper immediately for more information. They will help locate your package and give you a timeline. We do not have information on your shipment once it leaves our hands. We are not responsible if the package is declared lost, wrong addresses or email addresses.

Loss or Damage

Please note that Fringe Hill is not responsible for packages which are lost or damaged during shipment, or for locating lost or stolen packages once they have been delivered. This applies to both domestic and international orders. Loss, stolen or damaged items during shipping will not be refunded.

If you are worried about your package being left on your doorstep, please choose an alternate address you feel comfortable with.

Additionally, Fringe Hill is not responsible for replacing packages sent to erroneous or outdated addresses, as entered by the customer, so please be sure to double check your shipping address before placing your order.

International Sales Policy

Due to high shipping costs, we are not able to offer returns or exchanges on International orders. All orders ship via USPS Priority or UPS, depending on size and weight. Although a tracking number will be issued for your order, please note that they do not always provide trackable shipping information for international orders. As noted above, we are not responsible for any goods lost or damaged in transit so all international sales are final.

Customs & Duties

International orders may be subject to customs and duty charges, which vary greatly depending on the destination country. These charges are payable upon arrival and are not included in the original purchase price or shipping charges. WE DO NOT ADJUST PRICING FOR CUSTOMS RECEIPTS. In making an international purchase you are accepting responsibility for all Customs Duties.

Return Policy

We want you to love your bag as much as we do!  Please contact us within 5 days of receiving your bag to discuss an issue.  Refunds are not available after 5 days from delivered date.  To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, with receipt and original packaging. DO NOT REMOVE TAGS. Tags must remain attached to bag. If you are uncertain about your bag, please keep your invoice , tags attached and original packaging. Shipping cost are non-refundable. Customer pays shipping on returns. Shipping is deducted from refund amount on all returns. Shipping cost are deducted from refunds during shipping specials and/or sales. International orders are not available for returns. Sale items are final and non-refundable.

Canceled Order

If an order is canceled before it ships we are able to cancel the order and payment will be returned. Expect a few days for payment to be returned. We are not responsible for the order once canceled. If you have any issue with the payment you may contact your bank. Once the order is canceled by us, we do not receive the payment and do not apply further assistance. If the order has shipped, cancellations are not permitted.

PLEASE NOTE. We are not able to exchange products. You may return original product for a refund and then purchase the new desired product. ** All of our bags are copyrighted and replication in any way is not allowed. Legal action will be taken with replication and/or mysterious action of our product. We do not use our customer information for marketing purposes, but we do store it along with detailed notes of each transaction that can be used for copyright actions.

 If you are interested in a return, do not remove tags.

1) Please EMAIL your order number and desired return. Put RETURN with ORDER NUMBER in subject line. We will review your item and timeline before we approve the request. We can not always respond to dm’s on social media accounts or they may be easily missed, so please email fringehill@gmail.com

** Please Note. We respond to ALL return emails promptly within 24 hours.. Please check your SPAM FOLDER.

2) Once approved, we will email you a return shipping label. Shipping cost will be deducted from any refund, even during shipping specials.

3) Package the item in the original packaging with the invoice. Please write on your invoice any additional information.

If you believe you received the incorrect item, proof of the item you received, by photograph, must be provided and the ‘incorrect item’ once approved must be delivered back to and received by us before a new item will be sent to you. Please email info@fringehill.com

Leather Care

Please care for your product! We are not responsible for damage or water marks and do not offer refunds or exchanges if this happens to your bag. Scratches on our full grain leather are expected but can be conditioned and buffed.

We apply a thin layer of natural wax on the leather to keep it moist and help prevent cracks. You may apply extra protectant after purchasing your bag if you choose. Keep your leather product dry and aired out. Large amounts of water or any liquid will cause water marks (even with protectant) but fade over time. Our recommendation is a gentle leather cleanser or healing bomb. We use Leathermilk products. They have a gentle cleanser you may use for dirt or water marks, a leather water protectant and the healing bomb works great for scratches, dryness or cracked leather. Please follow the Leathermilk directions carefully. www.leathermilk.com

Item Availability & Waitlist

If an item is no longer available, we remove it from our web-site. If the item says SOLD OUT, we are working to get it restocked. Please note, bags are not always restocked quickly. Enter your email on the waitlist for sold out items to receive an email when the item is restocked. We are a very small business and we make bags in small batches. They are not made quickly and the woven bags can take a very long time to finish. We are not able to take pre-orders, custom orders or re-make past designs. The bags are made at the rate that we are able to finish them!


Custom Alterations & Replacement Parts

Our bags are very well made and last forever but if you should have a rip or desire alterations, you can contact a local shoe/leather repair shop or alterations shop and they will be able to help you. We are not able to alter bags or straps. We do not fix or replace items due to long use or prolonged wear and tear of our product.

Replacement parts are not sold by us directly. If you are in need of new silver strap clasps they are available easily online and inexpensive. It is a 1.5” metal swivel hook. Here are a couple links. Etsy Amazon

 

Privacy Policy & Personal Information

We may collect certain personal information such as names, phone numbers, addresses and email. This information is not shared, sold or used outside of our website. This information is required for purchasing items on our website.

We may collect information from you in a variety of ways either in person or on our website. This information may be stored on our website. Personal information is only supplied to a third party when needed for delivery. We may provide personal information stored in our system to our employees, officers, agents or personal advisors if necessary in violation of terms of our policy. By providing your personal information, you consent to the terms of our privacy policy.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We take secure measures via personal management and electronically. We are not responsible for malware. As we always take preventive measures, we can not assure that your information will not be taken and used in a way not stated in our privacy policy.

We reserve the right to refuse to provide you with certain information, as provided in the Privacy Act.

We may change our privacy policy at any time. The modifications will be effective immediately as posted on our website.
